We aren't kidding when we say you'll never look at another cooking show the same way again. Cooking Showdown changes all the rules. Welcome to a survivalist cooking game show where only the winners get to eat! Pasta vs. Ramen. Roast beef vs. Peking duck. Hunger presides over the studio panelists as two mouth-watering dishes are prepared in front of them by professional chefs. During the course of the show, a complete history and the traditional preparation of the two dishes are explained. Based on this supplemented information the savory food is prepared on-site in front of them by professional chefs. The two hosts pitch the rival menus to a panel of celebrity guests. Then the panelists must choose one dish or the other. But only those on the winning side get to eat their selection! Then others all WATCH, with not a little envy and discomfort, and another Cooking Showdown has claimed its victims. It's rough, but we all know that only one side gets to eat in a showdown. Not just another cooking show, this is an entertaining and informative divergence from your ordinary cooking program.
