The Chican@/Latin@ Youth Leadership Project is a Non-profit, Non-partisan organization that exists to promote the four "C's". College, Community, Culture and Careers. The CLYLP was created in 1982, and has held a week-long conference in Sacramento, CA ever since. The CLYLP targets High School Sophmores and Juniors with a desire to excell. The weeklong conference brings together 140 students throughout the state ranging from high GPAs to low GPAs with the idea that everyone has potential.

This group in no way officially reprsents the organization, but rather has been created with the idea of having alumni communicate and network with one another. While it is a private group, it will become the member's decision to change this or not. This has been done to remove the possibility of rediculous posts which hinder the group rather than help.

We hope that this group can become the vehicle for increased communication and networking that will yield a wide range of results.

Please come in with an open mind and open heart. Constructive criticism is a must, but outright negativity should be left outside. With this in mind...enjoy!!
