This is the Myspace networking group of the collective of 0474:8455 Recordings bearers of the ..bass (Drumn Bass) and Mental Illness (General Electronica) brands, and the commercial entities of K.urb promotions and K.urb Recordings.
We are not a real label. Were a stopover not a destination. We dont deal with people whove already made it. This is just a chance to be practical and pro-active among peers by being organised. Expect lots of tips and self-promotion hotspots including others who may have opportunities for production talent.
Aside from the active contacts to our greater organisation, I am hoping that producers who join this group are open on at least a conditional basis to the distribution of some of their material. But if you are here out of interest, thats cool too.
BUT PLEASE THIS IS NOT A FAN GROUP - THIS IS FOR BUILDING NETWORKS WITH ASPIRING PRODUCERS AND ACTIVE SUPPORTERS DO NOT INVITE YOUR MOM TO JOIN BECAUSE SHE LIKES YOUR/OUR MUSIC UNLESS SHE'S MAKING TRACKS HERSELF!

ALRIGHT! Sorry I been neglecting the group but I just been tryna put this Oceanic Chill thing on the table so we can get our foot in the door and get this rolling. The premise of course is that if we can prove the formula for this first official compilation is successful than we can revisit what we've done with the Mental Illness and ..bass series and look at giving this material reconsideration, or look forward to some excellent new offerings of fresh undeground electronic music from artists that have supported us by contributing great music!
OCEANIC CHILL WILL BE ON THE TABLE IN JULY!!!
SPECIAL OFFER to producers and group members!!! $US4 per CD/ $US2.50 per CD-r + P&P . . . support the collective!!!
I'd be REALLY keen to talk to anybody who's keen to help out securing distribution for this release outside of New Zealand . . . I'll be working on it and I have some good leads, but any support would be awesome!

Hey all, this Matt (romantech aka further) I have done 9 cd-r compilations and I have the will to get this proper CD off the ground its just I need to take the extra time and patience that should be reflected in making this progression and attempt to provide a product of quality that isnt just another crappy compilation CD in the catalogue. Every one of those CD-r comps came out because they were rushed and it cant be like that this time.
Please accept this is a large organisational effort and things may take a while to unfold. I dont want to be a bother to people who are tepid about the idea so as a member of this group I can let you know whats going on and you can take it or leave it.
Ill be marketing our CD's as a companion to anyone who is open to the progressive nature of electronic music wether on the dancefloor or in the arm chair wether experienced or new to the sounds. Diversity is a fundamental element of that progressive nature and bringing out that variety is very much based around fitting the tunes a natural rythym, almost a narrative.
I have every intention of renewing this concept indefinitely. If you are making the effort to send me new material and be involved, you will not be forgotten.
After that well lets not get too ahead of ourselves. Check the best case scenario thread below.
