What is "Dark-Tekno"?
Dark-Tekno is our catch phrase for any electronic music that has a dark feel to it. The range is very broad from chill out ambient, to dark edgy psy-trance, to raw hard techno, to stompy danceable power noise, and anything and everything in between.
Who is the Dark-Tekno Collective?
The Collective is a group of DJs and musicians who celebrate "dark-tekno". We are also a community of VJs, artists, performers and enthusiasts who are inspired by dark-tekno. Our family is constantly growing. We enjoy bringing Spin THIS! to you every month, as well as other special events (we still try to do 18+/all ages events when venues permit)!
Our Core DJ's- Blau, Jawa, Jessic[k]a, Phreaki Boi, RMS, TeflonJacket, and Wolf
Residents on sabatical/retirement (though we bring them out when we can!)- Alaric, Fanboy
We welcome conversation, ideas, feedback, hearing about your projects, etc- so post away!
Even though we are San Francisco based, we are looking to become friends with like minded souls around the world. Let's celebrate our love for dark electronic music!
Event postings are fine as long as they are suited to our audience. We also ask that you do not post any event that directly competes with one of our events, unless you have worked out a cross promotion strategy with us. If you have any questions on whether an event posting would be appropriate, please ask.
