Our intent is to uncover the truths about ourselves as people with a rich tradition of leadership, resistance, strength, and vision, thus revealing a more full, more dynamic picture of Filipinos throughout history. We can only accomplish this task through our own medium of expression. maganda is our contribution to a common goal of self-determination.

We provide an alternative education to what is given to us by mainstream society (American as well as Filipino American) through our words and images, carving out our niches as the next generation of Pinay and Pinoy leaders.

We record our lives as "cultural historians," not forgetting that our forefathers and foremothers have blazed this path for us, making publications like maganda possible. We hope that our works help increase the dialogue within our own community.
