Here's the whole story... soon after I moved here from cali, I discovered this little town that no one had told me about named New London. "What's this," I thought, "a place in northeastern CT with decent bars and a vibrant music scene? This might not be so bad after all." It was shortly after that epiphany that I met Craig Johnson, bassist galore for the recently disbanded New London group Degoleg. Craig handed me a copy of "Town without Kitty", which I promptly threw into my multi-disc player and forgot about. A few days later, the player finally got around to the disc, but I thought it was the radio. "Damn," I was thinking, "This station is playing some great stuff that I've never heard before. This band really rocks!" Then I realized it was his disc and promptly nominated myself head of the Degoleg fan club. Then Craig told me they had broken up already... great.

Not to worry, though, since Craig has teamed up with Chris DeBiasi (previously Degoleg's version of Neal Peart) and veteran guitarist Kenny Nash (most recently of KNV, Kat Thang, and the nationally-recognized New Johnny 5), and the boys have put together some VERY tight stuff. After considering "COD" (Creepy Old Dudes) and "Flique" (which I told them sounded just a little too Zoolander), they settled on Flic as the name for the new band. They're getting more shows booked as we speak, so check back periodically for dates & locations (which will be posted on the main site also). I'll also be periodically posting pics/video of shows and maybe those pictures of Craig's girlfriend covered in Mazola oil... J/K Melis!!!
