A MESSAGE FROM A SOLDIER YOU MUST READ

NEVER FORGET - HOW IMPORTANT THIS GROUP IS AND HOW YOU ARE MAKING THE DIFFERENCE

----------------- Original Message --------------
From: Alex the Great
Date: Jan 31, 2006 11:51 AM

My name is Alex H. Rollf. I am stationed at Ft. Myer VA. at Arlington National Cemetary. B co. 1/3 inf. The Old Guard. My job is to go to funerals for those who have fallen or served. My brother is in the Marines Stationed at 29 palms CA. He has served 2 tours in Iraq and thanks to our lord he has come home to his wife and family safely. Another friend A.J., who is also in the Marines, has been 3 times. On his third tour he was shot in the leg and hit with an RPG. After a little time in the hospital he reluctantly came back home to CA. We are all very proud of what we do and few know better than those who have served. Some have served on the front lines and others have served at home honoring those who did serve on the front. I have shown your page to as many people who will look I love what you have done and the bullitens you post give me daily and continuing motivation. Please whatever you do keep it up there are so many people who depend on what you are doing and even if I am wrong in that I depend on you for this motivation as being 3000 miles from home with nothing from your past life is very hard to do. I guess I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything you are doing. thank you from me, everyone here at The Old Guard, my whole family, and all my friends.

NEVER FORGET A VERY SPECIAL PLACE YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS MUST VISIT!

On Monday, January 16, 2006 CW2 Rex Kenyon 34, of Ft. HOOD TX, gave his life in service this country leaving behind a wonder wife who is a good friend and a good person. His apache was shot down in Baghdad and he lost his life.

It has saddened us all and one day we hope that we will see him again. No words can express the sorrow in my heart or the sadness. I will miss him.

Always,
Sandra

O God of Mercy, we beg you now to protect in a special way those who are fighting for us and for the country we love. Bless them and take care of them. If they are tired, give them strength. If they are wounded and suffering, give them comfort. If they are lonely, touch them with your gentle hand and let them know that you are near them. Grant them strength, wisdom and help through your power and your limitless love.

11 U.S. troops killed in one day in Iraq

Friday Jan 6th 2006

BAGHDAD, Iraq - The U.S. military on Friday announced the deaths of six more American troops killed in the recent barrage of violence that has swept Iraq, bringing to 11 the number of troops killed on the same day.
A U.S. Marine and soldier died in the attack by a suicide bomber who infiltrated a line of police recruits in Ramadi on Thursday, killing at least 58 and wounding dozens. Two soldiers were also killed in the Baghdad area when their vehicle hit a roadside bomb, the military said Friday

In addition, two U.S. Marines were killed by separate small arms attacks while conducting combat operations in Fallujah, the military said.

The military had previously announced the deaths of five soldiers hit by a roadside bomb south of Karbala. The attack came minutes before a second suicide bomber struck Shiite pilgrims in that city, killing 63.

It was the fourth deadliest day in Iraq since the fall of Saddam Hussein in 2003, with at least 136 total deaths, including the U.S. troops.

The 11 U.S. deaths were the most in a single day since 11 troops were killed on Dec. 1, when 10 Marines were killed by a roadside bomb while on a foot patrol near Fallujah.

At least 2,194 members of the U.S. military have died since the war began, according to an Associated Press count. The names and hometowns of the eleven troops killed Thursday weren't released.

MISSING PERSON $100,000 REWARD

An anonymous donor posted a $100,000 reward for the safe return of Jennifer Kesse, the Orlando woman who disappeared this week.

Meanwhile, the search continued Friday with renewed pleas from Kesse's family for the public's vigilance.

Drew Kesse asked that everyone keep an eye out for his 24-year-old daughter -- not just in Central Florida, but nationwide.

"Even if you're in Kansas or Massachusetts. This is how it works," he said, explaining that the most seemingly inconsequential tip could help find her.

The search for Jennifer Kesse began Tuesday after she did not show up for work. The absence alarmed family and friends, who contacted police saying she wouldn't miss an appointment without notifying someone.

News coverage of her disappearance led to the discovery of her car Thursday morning, when a TV viewer recognized the black Chevrolet Malibu parked about a mile from Kesse's home at another condominium complex on Americana Boulevard.

Orlando police will not speculate on what happened to Kesse, who works for time-share billionaire David Siegel's Central Florida Investments.

"We have a lot of work to do, and the detectives are working methodically through all the information they have received up to this point to try to find Jennifer," police spokeswoman Sgt. Barbara Jones said Friday.

Jones confirmed that a bloodhound tracked the scent of whoever abandoned Kesse's car back to her home at Mosaic at Millenia, a condominium complex. She declined to say what clues, if any, were found in the car. Investigators are studying video from a surveillance camera, but Jones would not comment on what it shows or where the video was shot.

Kesse's network of family and friends spent Friday handing out fliers about the University of Central Florida graduate to motorists at intersections.

Posters with a photograph of the 5-foot-8, 135-pound blonde with green eyes are taped to mailboxes and signs in southwest Orlando and nearby neighborhoods in unincorporated Orange County. Each carries the telephone number of Crimeline, a clearinghouse for tips: 1-800-423-8477.

Hi Steve, I just wanted to thank you soo much for creating your page. I read every single buleltin of yours. Although I may not have time to stop by your site or group very often, I am a member and i do and will forever support and pray for our troops. WATCHING this video brings tears to my times EVERY time I watch it. I have almost remembered the lines. I would just like to ask you a very quick QUESTION. Could you please send out a PRAYER CHAIN for my B/F? I am just about ready to set a blog up on it for him. HE is set to deploy as Acting First LT. in Falluja. It is quite scary for me as I'm sure it is for him to return for his 3RD TOUR to Iraq. SEEING as how last time he was deployed he was wounded. I do PRAY everyday that it doesnt happen to him this time around. I am praying now and I will CONTINUE to pray when he is deployed for his SAFE return as well as all of those soldiers out there fighting for and protecting our country. SO IF YOU PLEASE COULD SEND A PRAYER OUT FOR HIM. He is currently: E6 SSGT, MATIHAS HILES: K-9 MP UNIT

Thank you, Much Love and God Bless,

Just wanted to say how great your page is. I was deployed to Iraq in 2004 and wounded on Easter morning of 2004. I am hoping that you can help me to bring attention to a couple of good web sites. The first is www.injuredsoldiers.net and was created by SSG Tony Covell. I deployed with this fellow, he patched me up when I was injured and was injured himself by a roadside bomb a month later. He has done wonderful things for others with this web site. The other web site is www.saluteheroes.org and is doing great things for injured soldiers and their families. I would be very grateful if you can help me bring more attention to these two web sites. Thank you SSG David S. Miller "Scott"

I wanted to send a Picture of Jermy. He was a 21 year old Soldier who was killed in the line of duty. He put med school on hold to serve his country. And for our freedom and our safety he has paid the ultimate price.

"I am an American , fighting in the forces which guard my country and our way of life. I am prepared to give my life in their defense."
-Code of Conduct

These are the first words of the Code Conduct that he lived by. These ideals are the reason he sacrifices his life. He is not forgotten and is severly missed.

My husband was gone to Operation Iraqi Freedom for a year and a half. I know how it is and how it feels. For that year and a half forever changed my life and the way I live my life. Long nights, TONS of crying and I don't think a second went by that I didn't pray for my husband and others out there. Foot prints are forever in my soul. I seen a lot of of people display ungreatful additudes during my husbands deployment. I hope that some day they will see what our men have done for them!

PRAYER CHAIN FOR CHAD FIELD
Please don't break this prayer chain.
From: Vicky Field - Granbury, TX.

I got this in a email tonight
Subject: Prayer Request
My son has been shot in Falujah..I wanted to get everyone to
pray for my son Chad.

Today, Sunday, I got a call from the Army, that my son had been shot in the head.

I am asking for all your prayers.

He was in a Humvee going through Falujah fighting and a gang
of militia fighters fired on the Humvee and hit Chad
in the head.

The driver got him out of the city and took him to Baghdad.

He was in fatal condition, but now has been upgraded to stable critical.

His dad and I are on standby to fly to Washington then on to Germany as soon as the
military calls us to go.

The Army is trying to stabilize him enough to fly to Germany and at that time we will leave.

Please pray that my son will not have brain damage and that he will be restored and
healed by the blood of Jesus, and the grace of God.

I ask for you to pass this prayer request on so there will be many prayer warriors praying for him.

Thank you so much and I will try to keep you updated on his condition.

God Bless
Vicky Field
