Martin V. Riccardo



Biography

Martin V. Riccardo (Chicago area) is a behavioral hypnotist and the director of Vampire Studies, an information center for vampire fans, which he founded in 1977. He has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal and USA Today in relation to his vampire research. Mr. Riccardo has written two other books on vampires and many magazine articles. He has heard from thousands of vampire fans over the years and features some of their letters in this book.

How I found out about Martin's work

I first read about Martin back in 1998 in Katherine Ramsland's "Piercing the Darkness". Ironically just a few months later I found out he was doing a presentation at a local library, that was the first time I met him, October of 1999. A few years had passed, and I met him yet again at another one of his presentations. We have stayed in touch ever since.
