Los Angeles Garden Club welcoming new members
The Los Angeles Garden Club would like to welcome new members to join our wonderful group of gardening enthusiasts and everyone interested in horticulture. Our club was founded in 1932 and we currently have approx. 80 members.
We meet on the second Monday of each month at the Griffith Park Visitors Center Auditorium at 4730 Crystal Springs Drive in Los Angeles (next to the Park Ranger Station).
Social hour takes place between 9 a.m. - 10 a.m. during which we enjoy coffee, tea, and goodies from our breakfast snack table. The official meeting starts at 10 a.m. and lasts until noon. During the two-hour meeting we usually have a guest speaker or an interesting presentation, a raffle, and a judged horticulture exhibit of plants that members submit. We also have official judges among our members who'll be happy to provide tips on how to create the perfect submission to a flower show.
We organize exciting field trips and members may also get involved in projects, if available. For pictures of recent events please visit www.4seasons-photography.com/Photojournalism.html and scroll down to "Los Angeles Garden Club (LAGC)". There you'll also find a link to the latest program, listing all scheduled guest speakers and events.
You may attend a first meeting as a guest and enjoy the warm and welcoming hospitality of our members. The annual membership fee is US$ 20.00.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.
