MODEL CONSULTATION SCAM WARNING!
MODEL CONSULTATION, MODEL MANAGEMENT, and MODEL PORTFOLIO PHOTOGRAPHY SCAMS are on the increase in the TAMPA BAY area. Some of these scams may be related or refer models to each other. Model Consultants/ Managers have been stealing information from modeling resource sites such as Tampa Bay Modeling and Independent Modeling, and they try to sell information available for free on the sites back to the models who they "consult" with. The information is used to build their credibility so they can sell you worthless services. In related scams, there are people offering models MODEL TFP/ TFCD/ Free Portfolios while they pose as professional photographers. While professional photographers may elect to do a no-cost PROFESSIONAL EXCHANGE of services with ESTABLISHED PROFESSIONAL MODELS, a genuine professional photographer has invested in their business and would never GIVE AWAY services to aspiring models who need to invest in portfolios. If it is too good to be true, it often is and has some sort of catch. Many TFP's lead to scams and crimes against models. Model Consultants who refer models to TFP photography schemes don't know much about the modeling industry and even less about business, as you get what you pay for. If they demonstrate their professional ignorance or deception, can they be any help to a model and their career?
