This is a group devoted to the radio shows Solid State and Altered State. These were ground-breaking shows that paved the way for electronic musicians and bedroom producers alike. The hosts of the show were ("DJ Liquid") Todd Wilkinson and Steven "El" Covino.

The show began airing on April 1997 on 92.3 K-Rock (WXRK) in New York. During their time the show played various forms of music not usually heard on FM radio; ranging from breaks to indie hip-hop to mashups (a sub-genre of remixing that involves combining elements from one song with elements of another song to create a new song.) However, in April 2005 (approx. 8 years after it's triumphant debut), K-Rock, in a stunning turn, flipped their format. They switched to a more "Active" Rock format, giving Solid State the axe as well as other specialty shows withing the station. This left LT and EL-C without a home.

In early 2006, K-Rock would once again change formats. It turned into a talk radio station entitled "Free FM" (WFNY). However, undeterred by their success and loyal fanbase, the show returned in Spring 2005. This iteration was called Altered State, and it began airing on 103.5 WKTU Memorial Day weekend, however the arrangement of music would focus more on House and Club music. Sadly this installment of the show would be short lived. In October 2006 KTU was going through some programming changes and many of the specialty shows were also canceled including Altered State.

Recently, on May 24, 2007, Tom Chiusano (the general manager of WXRK/WFNY), publicly apologized to the NY Rock community for taking away K-Rock. As of 5:00 PM, the station converted back to K-Rock, the alt-rock format it once was, playing songs that ranged from 1970's classic rock to the current rock of today. The station even converted back to the original call letters WXRK. This move has cemented the idea that CBS Radio should have never tampered with the station, and have now realized the error of their ways.

As of now, due to the lack of musical variety on terrestrial radio in the New York tri-state area, there is no home for the show. However, with the recent revival of K-Rock, that may change. But LT and EL-C can now be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio. Steve currently is co-host of a popular talk show called Covino & Rich. It can be heard weekdays 3-7 PM EST on Maxim Radio Channel 108. He also DJ's nightly on hard rock station Octane on Channel 20. Liquid Todd does an afternoon to evening session on a breaks station on channel 34 named Boombox. In addition he host an indie rock and electronic themed show called Zeros and Ones and it can be heard on indie rock channel 26 Left of Center Saturday nights from 10P-Midnight EST.

This group will be a place where fans, guest DJ's and others can join in and reminisce. The shows may have disappeared from the airwaves, but their spirits will live on. And we will keep the spirit alive, FOR THEY ARE AND ALWAYS WILL BE THE BEST DAMN SHOWS IN THE UNIVERSE!!!
