On Saturday, October 27th, 11 massive regional demonstrations for peace will take place around the country. Initiated and coordinated by United for Peace and Justice, the country's largest grassroots antiwar coalition, these regional mobilizations will make it much easier for larger numbers of people to participate, and make it dramatically clear that opposition to the war and occupation in Iraq is strong, active, and nationwide.

NOTE: These demonstrations will happen in 11 cities around the country -- Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Jonesborough, Tenn., Orlando, New Orleans, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles, not just New York City. MySpace made me choose one city.
