1st Montrose Music Festival
Friday 30th May - Sunday 1st June 2008

From the initial ideas of a few local music lovers over a year ago, through to the first tune played by The Floor at our opening concert on Friday 30th May and right through to the last note played at the survivors night at The Black Abbot on Sunday 1st June, the 1st ever Montrose Music Festival has been a phenomenal success.

Our goal was to put Montrose on the map as a destination for good live music and we are delighted that this has been achieved. The response from the bands and musicians, the venues and the festival goers alike has been massive and we couldn’t have asked for a better inaugural festival.

A very big thank you must go to all of the organisers and their friends and families for all their time and effort, the venues, groups and businesses in and around Angus that have supported us, the bands and musicians who all showed a great professionalism and commitment to the festival, all of the other unsung heroes in the background and last but by no means least, the people that came out in huge numbers to support the 1st Montrose Music Festival.
