As you may or may not have heard, ABC's The Sideshow, is not being renewed for next year. Which is ridiculous, as it is quality viewing, showcases upcoming Aussie talent, and gives us our fixes of all our favourites: Paul, Tripod, Flacco, Claire, the Umbis... We need to do all we can to convince the ABC that this is a bad choice.

Here is what you can do:

a) Sign the online Save the Sideshow Petition. And then pimp it. Email it to everyone. Put it on your MySpace. Force it upon random strangers in the street. Sign it under multiple names.

b) Contact the ABC and make a formal complaint via their Contact Us form. Make sure you click 'complaint'. Let them know exactly what you think!

c) If you really want to make your voice heard, the ABC switchboard number is (02) 8333 1500, and from there you can be directed to the Complaints department. Tell it to 'em straight to their faces!

The more of us that band together about this, the more likely the ABC will take notice of us. The Sideshow is the highlight of Saturday night for many, and the highlight of the entire week for many others. We can't allow it to be cruelly stripped away from us like this!!!
