NEWS:
November 2, 2008
Just as it gets started, King crab season is over for Time Bandit! The guys are headed home for the holidays and much needed rest and relaxation with family! Congratulations to Time Bandit for another safe and successful season on the Bering Sea!
October 9, 2008
Time Bandit and her crew arrived safely in Dutch Harbor, October 9. As expected, there's a lot of work to be done before heading out to the crab grounds.
Captain Andy reports that the transit from Homer to Dutch went smoothly, and Time Bandit handled beautifully with the new bulbous bow! Now there are projects to be done, cameras and cable to be rigged, meetings to be held, and supplies to be loaded.
October 11th will be a special day for the guys aboard Time Bandit - they will be receiving a special commendation from the Alaska Legislature for the rescue of Josh White (shown on "Deadliest Catch", Season 3)! As soon as we get the pictures, they'll be posted here!
Everyone on board Time Bandit is doing well and in good spirits! October 14th begins King crab season ... and the Time Bandit is more than ready to fill her tanks with the red gold!
The Captains of The Time Bandit...
JOHNATHAN AND JAMES BOND 007
"The only place I want to see ice, is in my cocktail"
So, if you break a leg then I'll throw you overboard!
We're f*&@!g in trouble! ... we might be getting in our survival suits later on!
If you can't get your survival suits, you're pretty much a dead man out here.
Don't quit your day job for this."
John:(on the cameramen inside of the wheelhouse)Usually, I talk to myself in the wheelhouse. Now I have someone to talk to. It’s sort of nice.
It's not a funny ha-ha, it's a psychotic ha-ha
You know what it means when guys like us get off to a bad start?? Not a damn thing, that's what it means. HAHAHAHA"
"If you got a warrant out for your arrest, don't go crab fishing."
Squawky's gone!"
"SHUT UP & FISH" Capt Sig
We'd rather be lucky, than good anyday.. Johnathan
John of the Time Bandit: "Just enough wind to keep the flies off our backs." (On weather warnings)
Johnathan Hillstrand of the Time Bandit: "We're f*&@!g in trouble! ... we might be getting in our survival suits
Phil of the Cornelia Marie: "We cheated death one more time. I feel like a one-legged man in an ass-kicking contest."
Phil of the Cornelia Marie: "You go through a couple marriages, smoke cigarettes like it's going out of style, your body aches from the time you get up to the time you go to bed, and you wake up in the middle of the night thinking about where you're going to put the next pot. Yeah, it's a great lifestyle."
Phil of the Cornelia Marie: "Now you know why lions eat their young."

THE CREW :
Neal Hillstrand
Neal, 41, is the youngest of the five Hillstrand brothers, and like them, the ocean has been his life. Many a sailor
will say the ocean is his mistress - for Neal, Time Bandit is his. Neal truly knows every aspect of keeping the Time
Bandit ocean-ready. Whether he is engineer, deckhand, cook, or skipper, Neal commands respect for the vessel.
On board, Neal is known as the "king of one-liners" with his quick-witted sense of humor!
When Neal is not tending to Time Bandit, he owns and operates a hydroseeding and landscape business which
keeps him very busy. This past summer, he recently purchased and rennovated a home for he and his wife,
Debbie. Neal has two grown sons, Phillip and Axel, and enjoys spending his off-time with them as much as possible.
For recreation, he enjoys NASCAR, hockey, football, and the yearly vacation to Hawaii. As you might expect, Neal
also enjoys surf and sport fishing. He appeared in National Fisherman in 1983 for salmon fishing. He's also caught a
300 lb halibut, and most recently a trophy-sized Marlin!
Scott Hillstrand
Remaining true to the Hillstrand fishing legacy, Captain John's son, Scott Hillstrand, serves
aboard Time Bandit as a deckhand. Scott, 25, is a native of Alaska, married, and is the proud
father of one son.
Russell Newberry
A seasoned professional fisherman, Russell Newberry brings over 20 years of experience to Time
Bandit as a deckhand. Russell, 45, is the proud parent of a young daughter, and resident of
Alaska.
Eddie Uwekoolani
Eddie Uwekoolani, 42, is the newest member of Time Bandit. Also a seasoned deckhand, Eddie
brings 20 years of experience to the boat. Eddie divides his time between Alaska and his native
Hawaii. Eddie is the proud father of four children and three grandchildren.
Mike Fourtner
A familiar face returns to Time Bandit this season. Mike Fourtner, 29, is a skilled skipper,
deckand, and engineer aboard Time Bandit, not only during crab fishing, but during the summer
months for salmon. Mike is married, and a resident of Washington.
